Hawaii Island Game Developer Meetup

Get to know other local people interested in Game Design and Development.

Our primary focus is Mobile Phone Apps, Web and PC Games. However, developers of any type of game, even old-school board, card, and pen and paper games are welcome.

We discuss creating intriguing gameplay, marketing, promoting and generating sales.

The group meets every last Thursday of the month, except in November and December. Our next meeting is on at 6:00pm at The Exchange.


East Hawaii App Developers Group

Do you have Apps for sale in the Google Play, Amazon, or Apple App Stores?

We discuss Swift, Objective C, Java, and cross platform development tools. In addition to the tech-side, we share tips and ideas for marketing, pricing, and promoting apps.

Meet other local phone and tablet app developers to share insights, get feedback, or collaborate on projects.

Coffee & Ink Writer's Group

Two hours devoted simply to writing. Bring a mug and laptop/notebook. We’ll provide coffee, tea, internet and the company of other writers. All writers welcome; novelists, poets, scriptwriters, bloggers, etc...

Coffee & Ink was founded by local author, Wen Spencer, the winner of the 2003 John Campbell Award for Best New Science Fiction Writer and the author of over a dozen internationally published novels.

Share the creative energy of being surrounded by like-minded people. Don't worry; you don't have to talk about your creation. Just come, sit, and write.

We meet every Sunday, from 2pm to 4pm at The Exchange.


Hilo Robotics Meetup

Mechanical Design, Micro-controllers, Software, Sensors, and the Business of Robotics

This is an informal get-together for local robotics designers and engineers. We discuss topics ranging from software challenges to the business of robotics. The group is focused mostly on commercial applications of robotics in agriculture, education, tourism, and similar fields. If you're a robotics entrepreneur, or a hobbyist looking to build a business come join us.

Refresh Hilo: Web Design and Development

Refresh Hilo is a meeting of web professionals, developers and designers, working together to foster new ideas and refresh the creative, technical and professional aspects of their trade. We’ll have one or two speakers discussing aspects of design and web technologies.

The group was founded in 2014 by Edward Meehan (originally from Big Island) who currently runs a Web Development Studio in San Diego, California.

The group meets every second Tuesday of the month. Our next meeting is on at 6:00pm at The Exchange.

HITX holds a variety of events for Startup Founders and Entrepreneurs. In the past we've held Company Showcases, Demo Days and other community events.

We also hold smaller individual and small group events like our Founder's Breakfast meetings.
